Jeff & Michele

Walla Walla, Washington

A Weekend in Wine Country

We couldn’t imagine our wedding without you! Join us as we celebrate this special weekend with our favorite people.

We would love for you to be a part of the entire weekend!

Our story starts the same as any classic love story…

Like any good modern romance, it all started with… a glass of wine and a scroll.

There I was—17 years post-divorce, rocking my signature glass of Chardonnay, casually (okay, skeptically) flipping through Match.com. Hopeful? Not exactly. But then—bam—there he was. Jeff. That grin. In his kitchen, of course. Classic.

Something about him made me pause. So I did something I never do—I showed his profile to my daughters. Their verdict? “Go for it, Mom.” So I hit “like”... and off we went.

Six weeks later, we were sneaking off to Costa Rica (shhh, it was a little spontaneous). That trip kicked off what we now call our “epic year”—Hawaii, Mexico, South Africa… apparently we really like to stamp our passports.

This isn’t some fairy tale with glass slippers and dramatic music cues. It’s better. It’s laughter at all the right moments, deep trust, shared adventure, and showing up for each other—even when we least expected it.

I definitely met my match. And we’re just getting started.

(love you honey!!)

Navigating Match.com was starting to feel like a second job…

Navigating Match.com was starting to feel like a second job. Swipe left. Swipe left. Swipe left. Give up for the day. Repeat. (Seriously, how many single cat moms can there be?) Then, suddenly, there she was. Michele. Stunning, honest profile, my age...and she liked me first! I didn’t hesitate—I couldn’t click "like" fast enough.

A few messages and a phone call later, I managed to convince her to meet me in person. Our first date? It started off with a thud. I was in shock after the waitress looked at her casually and asked, “do you want your usual?”  With my mouth open, the only thing I could think of is she was there 3x/week getting free drinks from unsuspecting dudes. After I got over that and the red blend was in my veins, the conversation flowed like we’d known each other forever.  We shared deeply and we laughed. A lot. I didn’t want the night to end. Hours later, I smooched her goodnight and knew I had met someone incredible.  Could she be the one?  Is there such a thing as love on the first date?

From there, things really took off. Michele wasn’t just witty, compassionate, and adventurous; she could juggle a busy career, raise two amazing daughters, remodel a house, and still somehow make time to laugh at my corny jokes and provide me with the desired eyeroll. She’s the total package, people. The real deal.  And now she is mine. Neener, neener, neener

Now, here we are, ready to celebrate this crazy, beautiful thing called love. We’re throwing a party—not just any party, but the party. A weekend filled with all our favorite people (that’s you).  The ingredients include stories, laughter, a small amount of bad dancing, amazing wine, world-class food and enduring the probable scorching heat. It’s going to be epic, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Get ready, folks. Let’s make it the best weekend ever!

In the Heart of

Walla Walla

Join us at Abeja, in the heart of Walla Walla wine country, for a weekend that feels like us—warm, inviting, a little fancy, and full of love.

Set on a historic estate surrounded by sun-drenched vineyards, lavender fields, and the Blue Mountains in the distance, Abeja Winery is more than just a venue—it’s a destination. With its lovingly restored century-old barns, tranquil gardens, and world-class wine, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, breathe deep, and savor the moment. (We did—and knew right away this was the place.)

Abeja sits just minutes outside Walla Walla, a gem of a town known for its small-town charm and seriously impressive wine scene. Think over 120 wineries, incredible farm-to-table dining, scenic backroads, and a downtown where everyone feels like a local.

We chose Abeja because it captures everything we love—natural beauty, thoughtful design, great wine, and a sense of grounded elegance. It’s where we’ll say I do, surrounded by the people who’ve meant the most to us on this journey.

We can’t wait to raise a glass (or two) with you in a place that feels as special as this moment in our lives.

FAQ

  • We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you—and we’d love for everyone to feel relaxed, festive, and fabulous while doing it!

Welcome Party | Casual & Fun
Think easygoing with a little flair—something you’d wear to a backyard summer soirée. Michele will be in a sundress, so take that as your cue! Sundresses, breezy separates, polos, and button-downs all work.

    Wedding Day | Semi-Formal Attire
This is the night to elevate your look. We’re asking for semi-formal attire: floor-length or midi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy pantsuits for women; suits and ties for men. The ceremony will be outdoors, with the reception in the Barn/Tasting room.

  • Please RSVP by June 19 using the QR code on your Save the Date or by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above.
If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume you’re unable to attend.

  • We adore your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make the wedding and reception an adults-only celebration—with one very small (and very cute) exception . We hope this gives you the perfect excuse for a well-deserved weekend getaway.

  • Yes! Shuttles will be provided on wedding day only (not for the welcome party) to and from the venue—a quick 10-minute ride. There is no overnight parking at Abeja Winery, so we strongly encourage guests to use the shuttles or arrange alternate transportation (Uber/Lyft, though availability may be limited in the area).

Shuttles will run from The FINCH and Marcus Whitman Hotel. Final details and timing will be shared on the Travel & Stay page once confirmed.
